Well… farniente on the white and warm sand, or rather horse-riding in the forest, or tennis, cycling? It’s all possible! Our team will help you choose among what you fancy!
You want to enjoy your holiday relaxing on the beach, make sand castles, enjoy the sun, the ocean waves and the good salty air? Easy! Get out of your tent, mobile-home, lodge or cabin, take 3 steps, push the wooden door and bingo, there you are! The Camping Les Baleines has a direct access to the ocean!
La plage de la Conche (The Conche beach) spreads on kilometres of soft sand, just for you, less than 300 m from the campsite. Protected by the Canot de sauvetage (Lifeboat), made in 1969, come and admire the ocean’s relentless dance. Sometimes smooth and flat like as a lake, sometimes boisterous and unleashed, in the early morning dawn or lit by the moon and the stars, the ocean delivers a beautiful and always renewed show.
To be on holiday, is to take time to savour life, to be zen. Take a book (lent by the campsite) or some organic orange juice (at the grocery store) and just chill in one of our hammocks on the wooden terrace or on one of the benches in several places of the campsite.
Enjoy the view, the flowers, the people passing by. Observe bird mothers feeding their fledglings in the nesting boxes. Let yourself be lulled by the ocean’s purring.
Then, when you feel like it, stretch and take a few steps relaxing gardens with aromatic plants. Shh, tomatoes are growing!
The direct access to a small unspoilt beach will allow you to enjoy the pleasures of fishing on foot and angling.
Your « Camping Les Baleines » also has established a partnership with the Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux (LPO) (Bird Protection League), to propose specific « discovery of the birds » walks. Find out about it at the reception office!
Numerous activities are here for you, a stone’s throw from Les Baleines. Pick the one you want!
Come to the reception office, our team will gladly advise you for your visits and outings according to your interests and will hand you the practical guide of the île de Ré. You can also browse the website: www.iledere.com
